Dr John Zois MBBS, FANZCA

Dr John Zois graduated from The University of Melbourne and continued his postgraduate training in anaesthesia at The Royal Melbourne Hospital where he also completed a 6 month trauma anaesthesia fellowship.

He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne in 2001, followed by specialist anaesthesia training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, including an advanced fellowship in airway and trauma anaesthesia.

Dr Zois is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and actively participates in the College’s Continuing Professional Development program. He is a regular instructor for the National Airway Training Course for Anaesthesia Trainees (NATCAT) and holds Level 2 Certification from the Australian Resuscitation Council.

His clinical practice spans a broad range of surgical specialties, including obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, general surgery, orthopaedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, robotic surgery, interventional gastroenterology, and vascular surgery.

Dr Zois is affiliated with several major private and public hospitals and has served on governance and clinical advisory committees for more than a decade. He is a strong advocate for patient safety, quality of care, and continuous improvement in anaesthetic practice.

Committed to supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, Dr Zois works closely with the surgical team to ensure each patient feels informed, reassured, and cared for from pre-operative consultation to recovery.
