Dr Horne is a specialist anaesthetist with both a public appointment and private practice. She is trained in a wide variety of clinical areas and the delivery of anaesthesia.
Her undergraduate education was at Monash University in Melbourne, with Post-Graduate qualifications from both Melbourne University and the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. Dr Horne’s anaesthetic training was completed here in Melbourne, based at Southern Health, with Fellowships at both St Vincent’s Hospital and Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital.
Dr Horne has undertaken clinical work in the Northern Territory as well as voluntary placements overseas. Her clinical interests are varied, with a special interest in paediatrics. She has an ongoing commitment to Continuing Professional Development and medical education and is an active member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.
