Dr Anna Englin

Dr Anna Englin is a specialist paediatric anaesthetist with over twenty years’ experience caring for children and supporting families through surgery and medical procedures. Alongside her anaesthetic practice, she holds qualifications in medical hypnotherapy and works with both children and adults to help reduce procedure-related anxiety and build calm, confidence and coping skills.
She has a strong interest in clinical communication and the effective use of language in healthcare, and is actively involved in teaching and research in this area.
Background
Dr Englin completed her medical degree at Monash University before undertaking anaesthesia training at The Alfred Hospital. She went on to complete a paediatric anaesthesia fellowship at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She previously held a staff specialist position at Monash Health specialising in paediatric anaesthesia.
Dr Englin maintains ongoing professional development through the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and regularly attends specialist paediatric anaesthesia meetings and educational updates.

Outside of Medicine
Outside of work, Dr Englin enjoys hiking, bike riding, running, weightlifting, surfing and camping adventures with her family. She is married and has three teenagers
